2011 FloppyTax We’ll take it from here … Horizon Software will upload your 1099-series information return to the IRS Electronic Filing System on your behalf. There is a $99.00 charge for each submittal that we file on your behalf. If you wish to take advantage of this service, please read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page, then use the following procedure to prepare your submittal: 1. Enter and verify all of your information as usual.
Electronic Filing Service Terms & Conditions 1. Scope Customer hereby contracts for and Horizon Software, Inc. (HSI) hereby agrees to furnish data delivery services wherein Customer shall supply to HSI a data file that Customer wishes to deliver to the Internal Revenue Service F.I.R.E. system (IRS-FIRE). HSI will electronically transmit the data to IRS-FIRE and provide customer with a printed copy of the acceptance/rejection notice issued by IRS-FIRE with respect to that data file. 2. Term This agreement pertains solely to services relating to returns for tax year 2011. 3. Fees The fee for this service is $99.00 for each data file delivered, plus any applicable taxes, payable in advance by company check or credit card accepted by HSI. This fee must be paid even if the data file to be delivered is a correction or replacement for a previously delivered file. 4. Accuracy of Data Customer acknowledges that it has sole responsibility for the accuracy, authenticity, completeness and format of the data it supplies to HSI for delivery to IRS-FIRE and Customer agrees that it is solely responsible for any errors, delays, penalties, fines, or any other consequence arising from its submission of inaccurate, unauthentic, incomplete or improperly formatted data to HSI. 5. Indemnification Customer agrees to indemnify HSI and to hold it harmless from all loss, cost, liability and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from or attributable to inaccurate, unauthentic, incomplete or improperly formatted data supplied to HSI by Customer, or from Customer’s failure to supply data to HSI. 6. Disclaimer of Warranties HSI makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, other than the express representations contained in these terms and conditions. 7. Limitation of Liability In no event shall HSI be liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising from HSI’s performance or otherwise pursuant to this Agreement. HSI’s liability with respect to its performance or otherwise pursuant to this Agreement shall not exceed the fees paid by Customer to HSI for such services. The remedy of damages specified herein is exclusive. 8. Delays HSI agrees to provide service as promptly as possible, provided, however, that HSI not be liable for any delays, penalties or other consequences arising due to circumstances beyond HSI’s control including, but not limited to interruptions occasioned by order or requisition of the Government of the United States or any state or territory thereof, or of any subdivision thereof, or any government or war activity or embargo, fire, riot, epidemics, floods, accidents, acts of terrorism, restraining orders or decrees of any court or Acts of God. 9. Governing Law This Agreement and performance hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut. 10. Acceptance Customer’s submission of data to HSI for delivery to IRS-FIRE shall constitute acceptance of these terms. Horizon Software, Inc. 800-950-4829 |
